Welcome to Yancey County Schools!

Yancey County Schools is a public school system located in the mountains of Western North Carolina. YCS is made up of one high school, two middle schools, six elementary schools, and a K-8 alternative program.

Mission Statement

The Yancey County Schools strive to provide a safe and nurturing environment to empower all students to achieve their full potential as life-long learners and global citizens.
